A repeat traffic spike three months later was absorbed with p95 latency under 400ms.

Kubernetes Adoption Roadmap for Retailer

Assessed whether the retailer's 60-service application estate justified Kubernetes adoption, and for which workloads. The recommendation was selective: AKS for the customer-facing tier, App Service retained for internal apps, with a platform team operating shared clusters rather than per-team clusters.

The phased plan avoided an estimated $900K in platform build-out the original all-in proposal required.
